🧭 Guide

Follow in the footsteps of the 14th-century Moroccan traveller Ibn Battuta across Serendib — the island the Arabs knew as the land of cinnamon, spices, pearls and sacred mountains. This 7-day journey traces his path from the fishing shores of Negombo and the historic mosques of Puttalam, through the royal hill capital of Kandy and the misty tea country of Hatton (with its pilgrimage to Adam's Peak), to Sri Lanka's oldest mosque and first Islamic university in Beruwala, a river safari on the Madu Ganga, and the bustling heritage and markets of Colombo. The tour blends Islamic heritage sites, colonial-era towns, tea estate culture, wildlife encounters and coastal relaxation, with Halal cuisine throughout.

  • Warm arrival welcome and a beachside Seafood BBQ dinner in Negombo's fishing village
  • Puttalam Grand Mosque and traditional saltern (salt pan) visit
  • Kandy's Meera Maccam Mosque, historic Clock Tower, Gem Museum and a Tuk-Tuk city tour
  • Pilgrimage sightseeing at Adam's Peak, Devon Falls and Mlesna Tea Castle, plus a guided tea plantation and factory tour in Hatton
  • Jamiah Naleemiah (Sri Lanka's first Islamic university) and Al Abrar Mosque, dating back to 920 AD, in Beruwala
  • Turtle Hatchery conservation visit with baby turtle release
  • Madu Ganga River boat safari and Cinnamon Island visit
  • Jamiul Alfar Mosque (the Red Mosque), Pettah market walk and Colombo shopping at Noritake, House of Fashion, Barefoot and Arpico Super Center
